y61 axles on d2

y61 axles on d2

hi all im going to be putting y61 axles on my landy d2 is it a almost straight swap i know the rear diff is center will this be a problem for the prop angels ect any help and advice will be great

Consider putting cardan joints on it.

Double uni joints.

It should not be a problem if the uni joints are setup correctly.

A single cardan uni joint doesn't know if its running on an angle, it only cares that both output and input flange surfaces are parallel.

The common suggestion to run a double cardan joint at the transfer case end only will cause a huge amount of vibration. as a single end double cardan shaft requires the opposing unijoint to be running true, without any misalignment, this is not possible when the rear differential is offset.
