Does anybody have pics or tech on engine lifts (2.4 diesel LN65 hilux 50mm body lift)? Homegrown or storebought, it's all good. Then I will make up a crossmember to suit.

I lifted mine 40mm with the snake racing kit.
Was way easy and the spacers are made well. They fit like a glove.
I have pics somewhere Ill go look for them.
Paul.

Those spacers are the ones Roger Brown makes in the US.
The snake racing ones are different.
Snakes are made of a solid piece of billet alluminium with threaded holes. Studs get screwed into each side and are topped with nyloc nuts.
Sorry no pics yet. Cant find where I put them.

Good cog, where is the rust, (I don't know if this rig is for the road) maybe you could replace the panel (if non critical area) with 4.5mm polycarb (lexan) - 'track windows' I would love to do this mod for visibility.

One point though (everything is a compromise) when you raise the box, leave the motor, add a 2nd case and run a 1 piece shaft, some evil vibes may come along for the ride on the road, due to the high angle of the uni at the case end on the rear shaft. That's why I was looking at lifting the motor as well, also how is the clearance on the radiator and the fan with just the box lift?

With my lift I'm trying to flog out the springs so it will sit lower anyway, better for the cog, but need a better skid pan (I'm pushing 116 inch). It's all relative and trying to fit it within the budget contraints.

Hey RUFF what did nick do for his (engine lift)? He told me once but I forgot...

They look shweet. I was going to make something similar, but that may save me a lot of hacksaw time. I prefer that design to the rear mounted crossmembers. Are they raw when supplied or powdered/painted?
