g'day, im thinking bout a 3" body lift in my mq shorty, is this easy to do? i had a mate make some body blocks and got some longer bolts, im just worried bout the radiator as it mounts in the body... i trhought i could cut off the mounts on the side and drop it down onto the chasis so its still lines up with the fan... can anyone comment on wat they have done?
thanks fellas |

I put a 1 1/2 body lift in mine and only had to take the bottom half of the shroud off to clear the fan.Goin 3" you'll probly have to modify the mounts as you said. |

make a new fan shroud out of panel steel, its not that hard and its probably easier than cut n shutn the radiator mounts etc, also easier to put back to standard if needed |

Ive done 2 inch body in mine, all i had to do was un bolt the bottom half of the circular part of the shroud then cut a little extra, all is fine. u will also have a problem with the rear 2 mounts, as they have welded nuts on the inside and u will have to drill them out to put ur new bolts through and put a nut on the end, which requires a little square to be cut out on top in front of ur tailgate. but lift the car and c with the radiator, u might just have to make a new braket to bolt it donw an inch. |

if yopu get the right bolts for the rear 2 body mounts you dont have to touch the captive nuts, i never did with my 2" body lift i had on my MQ, just get the right lenght bolts with the right thred pitch!
