My 21R-C has the sump bowl at the front, can i just bolt on a 18R rear bowl sump?

bubs you may need to re-route the pickup there was a topic on pirate about this only days ago, as long as the pickup is in the deeper part of the sump, you can put the bowl anywhere...... front, middle, rear!

these motors came out in heaps of vehicles - vans, utes 2 & 4wd, celicas etc, local wreckers should have heaps of these motors in vehicles you could eye ball for a sump and pickup.

ihave been told 21r and 18r are almost the same motor, besides 21 has an alloy head a few other slight changes, i have a 18R out of a 4wd and want to use its sump and pickup on the 21r

The 18R is different. One of the 21R engine mount brackets are also different. It just so happens i know a guy that has a 4wd sump/pickup and engine mount bracket Wink
