Ever since i lifted my car, the steering wheel has a damn lot of play in it. I estimate bout 5 - 6 cm. Does anyone know how i can get rid of this
Ever since i started driving on the road, it has become a real bitch and i would like to get rid of it. 8) |

No, didn't knoiw anything bout that. I will have a look tomorrow.
Even a wheel alignment did nothing. My dad and I both thought that an alignment would fix it but it didn't. |

have a look at your caster as i think it affects your steering, my mate had to chase his car all over the road (correcting steering). |

Castor won't give you extra play in your steering. It just affects the self centering nature of your steering. Any play is likely to be from either/both ends of your draglink or possibly tie rod ends. |

get a mate to sit in the car and turn the steering wheel from side to side while u climb under the car and look at the steering compents look steering shaft into the box and the output then at your draglinks and steering knuckles and tie rod ends you should be able to see where the play is. also if you cna grease all the jionts in the steering this help take out the play. little bits to start of with then bigger turns untill you can see the play. |

More than likely - depending on where the play is coming from. If the play is in the draglink then it'll be fixed. |

Cool - thanks beebee. It better be otherwise that just defeats my main aim - to make it steer better. It will take me awhile to save up though |
