Hi Clod owners,
Where do you get your spares? I needed a replacement pastic axle end and checked the local Canberra/Queanbeyan specialist (the local monstertruckparts dealer) and also a mob in Perth who run a online store but they both said it might be 'difficult' to get them or at least take a few weeks by the time they got the included in the distributers next order from Japan.
I ended up just ordering them online at Tower Hobbies in the US. Substantially cheaper and surface freight is only about Oz$11. Since the freight was a flat rate for small orders I also got a pair of 9T pinions (8T out of stock), 2 sets of gears, and an extra full set of the axles ends (don't ask why I need 8).
btw, the websites some of you guys have put together are truely excellent and lots of useful hints and mods. Thanks for all the ideas!
Here is why I needed the spares (bought this way from a fellow Jeeper)
cheers

OK OK i may as well spill the beans.
As of now Monster Truck Parts Australia has access to Clod Buster spares and due to the way we are recieving them we will be offering them direct to the public. Now , as you can expect we will not know when and how much spares we will get until we recieve them due to manufacturing and demand so please be patient,we will support you if you can do the same .
I do in fact have some spares in stock at the moment, and yes i could have helped you out ,mattc,
If you have any queries let me know or get in touch with Adam or myself through www.monstertruckparts.com.au
I think all countries are finding it harder and harder to get access to these parts and its a shame because they are such a great truck.
Cheers

Ahhh I know for next time... I went through most of your site looking and followed the link off to Monaro Models. Oh well I will have to sit and wait for the postman now! Thanks. |

Yeah sorry about that mattc, we weren't planning to make it public until we got the rest of our order in stock. I also have a couple of units in my spare parts box, could have given you one of mine and replaced it from stock. Oh well.
For the future, ALWAYS ask. Someone usually has something worth knowing, but getting them from the US isn't so bad.
Cheers
