wooders - what is a decent (read cheap) price to pay for a cloddy?
Then what do all the parts cost for it after that? |

LOL Zach I have NFI what is a good price for a cloddy - since these days they don't seem to popup regularly.
As a hint - it was only AFTER I put this thread up that I noted a familiar name already on the bidding list of the above item
Anyways back to the $$.... James, what's your thoughts??
I'd guess $100-$200....depending on the condition etc....
But extras can add a lot to that - heck an ESC alone can be twice that amount.... |

For that Clod, I would probably go up as high as $250.
The batt is probably dead and I hate stick controllers, so these would be throwaway items.
The only useful parts on this little fella are the transmissions, wheel/tyres and motors. I am guessing that the servo is a cheapie and not up to the task of steering a Clod.
You would still need a fair bit of work to get this clod up and running as a capable crawler. |

Hey taziiy
Just serch for Clodbuster 'available to Australia' and it will come up with a few. They are listed under Toys and Hobbies/Radio Control but there is so much there you don't even want to think about browsing it. ....and don't even bother just searching in Australia, you get jack diddly. |

Hey you can't talk Russell, where'd you get the one you got now ?
Oh that's right, some nice bloke let you have his FIRST Clod and then kindly waited for his axles to come from the US. What a guy.
There's a couple up on e-bay at the moment but we should be careful not to be bidding against each other, that would be real dumb. Let people know if you are bidding on anything seriously. I remember Wooders and I bidding against each other on a yellow Tonka Jeep but he didn't realise how badly I wanted it so he made me pay heaps for it ! |

LOL Was that YOU!!
That was what about a year ago???
From memory it was on sold.com because each time we bid the bloody time extended by 10 minutes - mind you it was a tough contest....I was ready to bid again - but missed my alarm......
Well at least I know know that it went to a good home  |

Yeah you'll have to come and check out the Jeep collection some day.
I'm up around the 100 mark now including some pretty rare Tonkas. |

Hey bj, get some 2.2" truck wheels from a stadium truck and you can put some IMEX 2.2" G-Hawgs or Truck Pulls on it. Here's a pic of my Wild Willy. RC-freak has some truck pulls on a Losi Stadium Truck too. |

Any hobby shop, about $40 a pair and you'll need Wild Dagger Wheels to mount them to your Blazing Star.
Bj, you need to read the replies to your e-mails carefully. I just read three messaged that all mentioned the wheel and tyres you need. We have the same "How to make a Blazing Star into a Rockcrawler" conversation under four or five different topics. Someone please start a new thread. |
