Due to the overwhelming interest in RC crawlers, I and a fellow RCer nut am looking at sourcing Clod Buster Kits from Japan / Hong Kong as these models are no longer imported int Oz due to lack of demand.
This is only early stages yet and we are still sussing out the viability of importing the kits. If you are interested in building up your own RC rock crawler and want the best platform ever made to start from, here is your chance.
Please PM or email me at JK@mudcow.com if your are interested. Note that this is an expression of interest only and by indicating your interest you will not be commiting to order for a kit. You will be formally contacted once we have things setup.
Details on the clodbuster kit are shown under these links. Note that the kit does not include radio gear, servos, electronic speed controller or batteries, although we can certainly help you out in this department.

Pricing will be very reasonable and will be much lower than the Aussie RRP for the kits.
Cheers, JK |

OK but they suffer bad torque effects with the diffs locked. Basically they screw themselves up on the suspension due to the shaft drive... I have some vids that I took that I will add to mudcow.com soon to illustrate this.
But out of the box they are a very capable truck.
Clods have better potential as the ultimate cralwers though. |

I have found that unless you are lucky and get someone that is a little more "global" thinking than the average spud, you may have problems importing stuff from o/s. Not that there are any real constraints, just that a lot of people selling on ebay are from the States and they won't deal outside of the States.
PM me some links of what you are interested in and I will be able to tell you if they are a good deal / what other stuff you will need to get them working. |

Ok so I have paid for it. In about 4 to 6 weeks I will have it.
a fully polished clodzilla ESP IV race truck. It includes a Futaba T2ER radio with a BB hitec H-S700 servo to handle the massive tires. The trannies have been rebuilt with NEW bearings and have been regreased. Custom aluminum tray to hold the dual batteries and the radio gear. Aluminum shocks. Massive suspension travel. The motors are wired in parallel for longer run times and great power. The anti-sway kit is included if you want ot use it. A custom painted jug body and original clod body are included. Their is a custom battey tray as well that can hold two batteries. I will include a 1400 mah so you can get going right away. |
