It takes about 41/2 to 5 hours from Brisbane but if you were towing you would need to add about an extra hour!
It isn't really that far to go for some awesome Rock Action!!
Its funny how guys here in OZ complain about the distance they have to travel to get somewhere good, they always refer to how USA has so much rock but what i have heard is that some of these places you see in Petersens and on Yakie Vids are out in the middle of no where and takes them days to get there!
This place is unreal they have every thing from MASSIVE ROCKS to RIVER SAND and they also have a fun little Motocross track for 4wd's.
They also have a flowing river that flows all year and makes for a great place to chill out and sink so beers after a hard day of ROCK RACING!!!!
Heres a picture of that river.
By the way its called the "rock pools" 8) (no CHEEZY you are not allowed to drive on them) |

Toyomad prob not as the climb up the range is a bit much if we go that way.
Easier for us to go up the high way (north) and to kilcoy then Kingaroy |

Donna i have a question for you. I plan on leaving my car in brisbane after XRCC and flying back up to compete in your comp at easter. Just a couple of things i noticed in the info flyer.
Sadly i will only be running 35" mud terrains, so i thought great...i won't have to be in outlaw, but as my suspension is custom front and rear the rules dictate i have to go in outlaw class. Is there any leeway in the rules regarding this matter ?
Also my Surf will not be engineered, but will be in a fully engineerable state....i just won't have the time or $$$ before i leave for XRCC to get it done, if i have to compete in the outlaw class according to the rules this doesn't matter does it ?
Thanks for your help and comments, Jeremy |

yeah there is a limit of leeway to that question, on your Entry form just write a small blurb to describe it if you can and the guys will look at it, they may be able to have a look at it on the XRCC weekend if they are there (hopeing too) see what we can do for you
as for the engineering state of your vehicle it won't matter as long as it is safe (sounds like it will be though) - look forward seeing you there |

Thanks for the info donna...... plans have changed now . We decided it's a little far to come for a comp in a new truck we will have only had out a couple of times, we are just gonna head back here after XRCC and get in some driving down here and then hopefully go and be competitive at the Jamboree over easter weekend. Good luck with your comp, looks like it will be a killler weekend !! Cheers, Jeremy |
