Purely hypothetically, if mr Toyota san came up to you one day and said, "G'day mate, I'd rike to build you a special, one off Rand Cruiser to you ohn spesefications, what ever the cost, straight from factory to you". What would it be like???

p.s. Pronunciation in foreign languages is bloody difficult Very Happy .

100 v8 turbo intercooled vvti with 6 speed auto on 37's mounted on 18 x 9's with rockmoster.com beadlocks with longer front A arms and coil over front, 50mm taller ride height, and slip joint front drive shafts, with fuel between the axles only and spare high under the floor in the rear so it didnt hang below the chassis, and rear shock mounts on the chassis in the rear taking up the extra 70mm of space to the floor, allowing a 750mm long shock with long rear lower arms and A frame, rear chassis 150mm shorter, and no air bags, switchable traction control with LSD rear, and carbon fibre panels and lexan windows where applicable, to keep the 100 on a diet.

Sparce interior, valour non reflective dash, with vinyl floor mats, and door trims, waterproof speakers, cd/mp3 stereo, 4 well designed good bucket seats, with inbuilt under the pressed hood lining, roll hoops over the passenger area, cross braced with cargo barrier built in with VX fridge in the console, air con, climate control, and color coded door handles.

this would be a good starting point ;-)

Bout 18months ago when I was first looking for a 4bie I saw on carsales:

75 series Xtra Cab. 6 seater. Extended chassis 600mm. Full size tray put back on. 2 big chequerplate boxes on top, 2 toolboxes underneath, covered with a canvas canopy, turbo, lights, snorkel, bars, uhf etc. $15,000. I fell in love instantly and wanted it then and there but at 18 as an apprentice earning not much I simply couldn't afford a loan.
Ever since then it's all I've wanted and plan to one day make one out of my troopy.

shouldn't it be 'land-cluiser'?

the ultimate cruiser should be a balanced compromise between on-road comfort and economy and offroad capability. obviously an 80, with around 4 - 5" lift, adjustable damping, turbo diesel with around 500 - 600Nm and 180kW, powerful and economical. cupholders. leather. lockers. PTO winch. around 200L fuel capacity. accessible spare tyre.

maybe with a chef.

A MegaCruiser that's off the same size with all the goodies like torsen diif with manual locker, electric pto winch that's spools faster than Malaysian RFC spec God's winch, ultimate NATO spec armour that can widthstand a direct hit from a Mother of all Bombs, an M60 machine gun, motar, stingers for being on the offense, Range Rover interior, luxury, comfort, climate control with Toyota reliability, 44inch mud tyres, and the most important thing,
all the standard wish list but with a weight of a Zook.

I have 2; The current 70 series Cruiser Troopy, but with 4 doors (ie longer than their wagon variant); and the Current 70 series Troopy, but as a dual cab. I really think that Toyota missed the mark on these ones.
