Does anyone spearfish in NSW here?

I am looking to get back into it (loved it when I was a teenager), I got out of it when I moved away from the coast.

The local Amart are advertising wetsiuts & spearguns for sale so I put my order in for fathers day but alas the local stores do not stock them due to licensing reasons Question

When I used to spearfish there was no licencing so I started to do some digging. All I can find is there are restrictions on the use and the fact they are a prohibited weapon according to some NSW legislation.

If someone could point me in the direction of anything to do with the licencing of them it would be much appreciated.
