Does anyone spearfish in NSW here?
I am looking to get back into it (loved it when I was a teenager), I got out of it when I moved away from the coast.
The local Amart are advertising wetsiuts & spearguns for sale so I put my order in for fathers day but alas the local stores do not stock them due to licensing reasons 
When I used to spearfish there was no licencing so I started to do some digging. All I can find is there are restrictions on the use and the fact they are a prohibited weapon according to some NSW legislation.
If someone could point me in the direction of anything to do with the licencing of them it would be much appreciated. |

 He was in a comp when he got the suprise of a lifetime.
Mowie of here spears a bit IIRC. http://spearoz.org/ is a spearfishing forum that he is a member of and a great resource.
Cant wait till the water is a bit warmer. |

Don't mind getting in the big dip... Getting some nice blue throats, salmons and leather jackets...... Mmmmmmmmmmm!
Have a squiz @ 'SPEAR FISHING VICTORIA' on facebook, its a bit quiet atm in winter but we should start crackin a few in 9mm wetties soon. I think the waters are about 12 degrees atm.
