Gday,
Few questions,
Anyone know if the gu gearbox and transfer from a 3.0L would bolt into a 3.0L navara? or even if just the transfer would bolt on? And can you flip transfers over? Ie if normal front shaft output is drivers side on a patrol can i turn it upside down so its passenger side to suit the nav?
Thanks in advance
Josh. |

You cant flip the transfer case. Apart from the transmission being much larger and taller than the Navara trans--you might be able to use the Navara transfer case--which is the same as a Patrol except has front output on passengers side and no trans brake to bolt up to the Patrol gearbox rear extension housing. Even though its the same motor, not sure if they both use the same size bellhousing and clutch plate etc.

I think the bell housing patten is different, as the Navara use smaller bolts, (10mm) and the patrol is 12mm, you might have more luck fitting a 2.8 diesel or 3.0 petrol patrol box and transfer as this would have a closer bell housing pattern, (I have one for sale),
