just wondering if any body knows of any tax refund calculator or other such thing just want to see how much im getting back with out lodging it

use etax.
You'll see an estimate of your refund before you lodge it.

Smile i'm getting back 2 coils, 4 shocks, 2 balljoint spacers, 1 steering dampener and 2 tie rod ends

True. Most people don't realise how GST and your BAS really work. But, better been able to claim it than not.

i get back all of the tax i pay.
i payed $3000 of tax, and i get back $750 for low income, claim all my petrol use for work deliveries, all the tools bought and maintained, every meal out, boots, and everything else i can somehow link to work Very Happy

Actually, if i remember correctly, dole money isnt taxed at all.

I got a tax *bill* for last year, and if I'm lucky, this years *return* will cancel that out... if I'm lucky, that is Rolling Eyes

i thought i was getting 12k back but i have to pay the remainder of my hecs back so only 7k, i get so much back because i can't save so i don't claim the tax free threshold and also i get payg'd at a higher rate even though im not in it. so every july i get a 'bonus' (i know its mine anyway) but its good for doing renos on the house or insurance/rego's that always come next month.
