hey peoples... hehe please help!! I've done a search, but couldnt find what i was after. Right.. know that i've covered my ar*e, hehe.. i'm currently installing a new wiper kit onto my lux diff. The buggered wipers (the felt, rubber etc) are cut in half, to allow them to fit over the ball at the end of the housing. In my new kit, all of the parts are still one complete unit, meaning i have no idea how the new seals/wipers can possibly fit over the ball!?!?!?!!?! Hope i made sence Confused Any help will be sooo nice please!!

they will fit over the ball just be gentle with them, the rubber will strech the felt not so much but it will.

chances are the issue isnt the wiper seals anyway, its probably the inner axle seal letting oil into the hub and then leaking out, the hub wipers are designed to hold grease not oil.

as for the seals being cut they often do this as an easy way to replace the seals without pulling the hub apart, leaving the diagonal cut at the top. however often this doesn't fix the problem for long becuase there is still oil int here and even new wipers will let the oil leak out.

Will probaly beat doing the inner axle seal again when it leaks in the not to distant future. Again it can not leak for ages really depends on how much you use 4wd http://www.trail-gear.com/knuckle-service.html $19us each isn't that expensive and see what locktup can do them for to your door. What are they worth localy?
