Hi all,
We spent last weekend up at Loveday 4x4 adventures (near Barmera SA) and got the good oil on the plans for the Queen's Birthday long weekend (7-9 June 2008).
Seems like they're planning to have a bit of a big weekend, they'll be filling all the mudholes up and wetting the mud drag tracks down etc.
Should be a good time. I think they're expecting a few people.
Check their website here for information about the park.
There's a good mix of bush tracks, hill climbs, sand and the opportunity to drive the track used for the Riverland Challenge.
It was our first time up there last weekend, and we had a ball.
I'll be there, depending on work, funds and weather, and look forward to catching up with any SA 4wders.
Hopefully the weather will be OK, but good, up-to-date information can be found on the Elders Weather site here.
It's not a structured event AFAIK, just a chance to do some driving, test your vehicles and enjoy a weekend away.
Cheers,
Pete |
