The battery will be fully charged but when you start the vehicle the charge starts to drop |

im with Damkia, load test the battery with a tester or check with mutimeter whilst crankin, but even if the alternators tryin to charge, if u have a dead battery it will still look to be dropping voltage |

chances are its your battery, most systems require an excitation from the battery to bring the alternator online. i dont know if youve checked that but i presume you would have before asking for help.
other than that, yeah, check fuses. trouble shoot with a multi meter - look for an online elec manual. think also, have you touched anything recently that could have screwed this up? dual batteries? winch? did you forget to connect a wire? (like i did once).
let us know how you go, by the way, what car is it 'coz i have a few factory manuals here and might be able to help you further with trouble-shooting

checked all the earths ther fine,Put a brand new Battery in and also ran a wire from the alternater straight to the battery, Started it and it sat on 12.78 V turned the High beams on and it went to 12.20 volts then went back to 12.78V when there off,The volts never went up so still not charging,The truck is a standard 84 Hilux |
