Has anybody managed to find a good place to get some replacement bump stops. I’ve tried a few suspension shops and they all say no. Rang Mitsi spare parts and they want $191.20 each.

I’m after the rubber stop inside the coil.
Any help would be good as, I don’t have much rubber left. (Its an old pic…. there is half as much rubber now)

Thanks,

Dave

Gee - you can get fancy swanky hydraulic ones for that price!

But are they needed? I know my shorty doesn't have them and the NL LWB I wrecked didn't have them either. Just the tapered one to the left of the spring in your pic.

Any Pedders store will have them. For your quoted price I would think that you could get a pair. I replaced mine and and think that without them you may get some extra travel, but you would know about it when you bottom out.

It's called a "helper/assist spring" and i think it just softens the blow that the bump stop takes.

I forgot to reply to the thread,

Pedders do have them, Part No: 5899 Pedders Bump Stop

Havn't got price yet, to busy with the rest of the suspension

A Metric 17 socket up the middle will get it out. There is a bolt that holds it in.

Got pictures if required.

its only there to guide the spring back into position after full articulation. with out it the springs tend to fall out. happened plenty of times on my ng pajero(they dont have them)
