The wife and my self are thinking of buying a Santa Fe and are wondering
what to look for and if they do have any major problems what are they. It will not be intended for off road as the patrol is used for that. As well as what is the best size motor to get, for power and economy.
Any feed back would be greatly appreciated
Cheers Joe

Joe

We have a six month old SLX diesel. Best car i have had (and i've had a few!!)
The 2.2 turbo Diesel has got HEAPS of grunt and really gets up and boogies!!
We bought the 7 seat option and automatic, but internally has plenty of room for a "SUV". Seperate rear air conditioner, seats fold up well
Would i change anything??.....probably not. Has every thing. Good value for money.
Gets plenty of wraps when put up against the Xtrail, Captiva etc
You wont be disappointed!!

Averages between 9-10L/100kms. My wife tows alittle enclosed trailer around for her work and doesn't seem to really change the economy much. I've heard the petrols are VERY thirsty, but i haven't had first hand experience with them.

My mate worked in a Hyundai dealership (since left) and said the diesels are the only way to go with these.
