4runner body switch

Has anyone ever swapped a 4runner body for a duel or single cab hilux body?

Can it be done? Does it just bolt on to the same points or do adjustments have to be made?

Dual cab wont fit (easily length frame between the axles

Single and x-cab will fit, single cab fits easier, all you need to do is move the body mount below the doors on a 4 runner back about 4 inches on the frame, x-cab is the same but it needs to go back further again

x-cab has some little issues with the rise in the frame but is easily worked around

hey Bubs what about fitting a dual cab tray(1st gen) on a single cab chassie for my first gen? instead of bobbing my tray?? Cool

does this work??

you will end up with a 2ft gap between the tray and your cab and no shortening of the departure angle

this is if you are talking about the original stylesides
