G'day all. got a txt and read that a fair few people seem to run integy 45t lathe motors so i tried 2 of these with 8t pinions and compared to the standard cans with 8t pinions they noticeably struggled. both motors are in good cond and had new batteries. anyone else noticed this? a mate of mine has one of the integy motors in a stretched axial running moab xl's which is what im running as well and the axial has heaps of punch and wheelspeed. mine was crap with one but still not good with two. im running a tekin 2 speedy and separate 6v battery for servos so power not an issue. any thoughts from anyone? and lastly i run the mini wiraba stage at tuff truck and have put the idea of crawlers on the track inbetween competing vehicles to comp organisers which they're fine with to entertaln crowds. whos keen????????????????

Mate, there somtihng wrong with ya setup, twin 45's and 8t pinions should be great.

Are the motors new?

And as far as Tuff truck goes there has been talk of a group run up there with the crawler's, and if we can get on the track between run's that would be sweet armsup armsup armsup

You havent wired them in series have you?

Like B.D.R said they should run great.

Have you tried running just one of the lathe motors to see how it runs?

my motor has had about 3 batteries run through it since i bought it off some dude in queensland and thay were his batteries. i borrowed another motor off a mate which i know is a good motor. so together i thought it would be a sure thing but no deal. its not dead set useless but the standard cans were better with punch and wheel speed. with both steering on full lock you could hear the motors labour and that was on grass. as mentioned previusly im running a separate battery for steering. they're wired the same as the standard motors. pulled my motor apart and looked like new.

I would be checking your speed controller, it may not be able to handle the amps that the twin 45s are drawing. You should only really need to run the one motor, this will help with the lack of power to the steering.

And I'll be up for throwing the r/cs around at tuff truck.
