The Finger

I was running a pyro and if I was up her it could reach 600+ Celsius in just a minute Twisted Evil

It was off the hook, I ran even higher boost on a 3B and it made similar power!

Mine was fully rebuilt, valves, 40 thou over, turbo pistons

bla bla bla Cool

I rang a shop to get a quote of turboing my hj60 and when I told them the car has 400,000k they said it can't be done. I've only had the car a few months but I'm sure the motor has been refreshed or rebuilt as it runs and sounds too good for 400ks.

How many k's do you guys have with turbo 2hs?

Are there any options i have? Maybe have a compression test done and the motor checked for its condition?

I have heard (from an engine reconditioner, IIRC) that a 2H is good for 500K stock, but only 300-350K turbo'd.

I had to replace pistons & rings on mine at 330K - according to the mod plate, turbo was fitted about 10 years previously (no idea how many k's it had on it at the time).

Had my 2H turbo'd late last year with just under 370k on it. Compression test showed all cyl still very good. Runnin about 6psi boost & so far no probs, except a small temp increase when doin about 2500rpm. Keepin it down to 2000rpm til i figure out what to do next. Have oil cooler to fit when my next service is done. Was thinkin of goin to 9 or 10psi boost but not sure at this stage.

I turboed my Tencha last december .. initially running 12 PSI but now increased to 14 PSI and in some oportunities at 3K rpm and HW speed 15 PSI If I want ..

There it's a K26 Turbo that it's .37 AR ( pretto close to get boost at low rpms ) that delivers at prior to surge line 550 cfm .. more than enought for 2H engine.

I run also a small intercooler to keep the lag pretty short .. very nice result .. driving gentle in the city only deliver under 1600 rpm 5 - 6 PSI of boost ..

I keep my EGT under 1150 F in all situations .. only for mind safe .. but just tunned my fuel ump pretty easy with more than 4 turns to get more diesel throught the hole range ..

Also run 2.5" mandrell exhaust .. straight pipe.

Here are some numbers that I made for my turbo .. setup ..

And the hole turbo intercooler thread ..
