Sam,
I realise you are worried about the liability issues of selling these things, but would it be worth checking with your solicitor if they were sold as something like an "industrial vibration isolater" ??.
No reference on the invoice to an automotive application, with some disclaimer along the lines of "for agricultural/industrial use only" ??
BTW, I'm no legal expert, and have no idea if this would hold up legally, but I'm also in business, having to pay out a nice amount in public and product liability insurance.
Just thought it might be a line to chase up, as I want to get my hands on a set too ! |

You blokes sound too dodgy.
Its a PITA but basically once we sort out the product liability insurance we are good to go.
Its a shame that nothing is ever as simple as what it should be.

sam, have you tried to shave 2-3mm from each side of the radius arm
of course the bush outer steel case would have to be trimmed to suit.
does the side of the arm (skin) hold a lot of the strength?
also what type of shock did you use ( the one that is 10.5" long travel)
i can change the mounts to suit anything if need be. |

With the way the bushes are nw the centre crush tube hit the inside of the outer shell and this is what limits the articulation. Dont quite understand what you are suggesting.
Can use any shock that you want although most longer shocks need the shock tower extending or the bumpstops extending.
Ive got 14in travel monroes in my mogrover but that doesent really mean anything although these are still the same shock setup I used to run when it have rover axles under it (and a rangie body on top of it)

I just thought you might be interested, the Suzuki Jimny has this type of bush in their arms. The hole isn't quite as big but then again neither is the bush. If they passed ADR then your ones should have a chance. |
