Hi, im new to the site.
I would like to fit a 4" suspension lift and 35" MT tyres to my bronco but, i am worried how this will affect it's towing ability as I use it to tow a 21' wake boat, (2500kg). Any advice on how this will effect it's handeling would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Fats.

It will be slower, use heaps more juice, sag heaps in the back (and sag permanantly, quite quickly) and be wallowy around corners.

Mind you, it probably isn't rated to tow that much.

Thanks for that,
I'm not worried about how fast it will go or how much fuel it will use, as i have a fresh motor on the way (it's slow and thirsty anyway),plus a brake upgrade. What does concern me is how unstable it will be at 100klm/h. Will it be dangerous or just a bit more rolly on bends? As for the towing capacity i,m lead to belive it's around the 3000kg mark, I could be wrong.

I would check the towing capacity, I don't believe it is that high.
With a 4" lift, and 35's, it will tramline, and will need constant correction. Not undo-able, my Wife drove my F150 around for ages in traffic, with 35's and then later on 39" swampers. I drove it to Canberra and back, but I never tried it with a trailer.
Mine was a 400ci motor, and got 2 km's per litre of LPG with a ute load of camping gear, highway cycle.

Thanks, that sounds ok,
it tramlines now on 32's so with new suspension components and longer radius arms it should be about the same. Fuel consumption sounds about the same as i get towing the boat now, it will be interesting to see how it goes with the turbocharged stroker cleveland when thats done. that towing capacity came from a us site as i cound not find anything localy, ges i'l keep looking.

On gas my Bronco did 750kms on $87 of gas, towing a car trailer with an XD Falcon, in summer, at 120km/h up the Hume highway... No problems at all, I think it handles better with the trailer personally, but mine has some ancient dual shock setup, I am currently saving the dollars for a solid front and 4" lift..
