hi just wondering if anyone knows what changes i will need to make to convert my v8 f250 4x4 fron C4 auto to FMX AUTO ??? would it just be a matter of bolting str8 up ? as i have a fully recon fmx sitting gathering dust |

Won't it be a C6 in your truck? Removable bellhousing, alloy case is C4, fixed bellhousing alloy case is C6, and removable bellhousing, iron case is FMX. Unless it does not much work, or you really can't afford to rebuild the C6, and it is completely stuffed, I would steer clear of the FMX.
Is it 4x4? It is not divorced transfer? You will find it hard to get an adaptor for the transfer, and the spline count may be wrong. |

Pretty sure there's no C4's in 4x4's, only C6's
And C4 is heaps tougher than FMX anyway |

my f250 is remote (divorced transfer) so how hard is it to change to C6 ? |

I thought it was only EB's, not F trucks. Not in the 70's anyway. |

the fmx is old, and quite weaker than your other options.
if you are going to be using a secondhand one it probably wont last that long anyway and aftermarket parts are getting a bit thin |
