I have seen that the front airlocker is not available for the 3000cc automatic models but seems to be available for the 3.5L auto. (well it doesnt say otherwise). Is it true that the 3L auto front diff is different from the manual and the 3500cc??? |

Yes it is Grant, the Gen 2 3.0 V6 auto + 2.5 TDI has a smaller 7.25" front diff (4 cylinder size).
The Gen 1 3.0 V6 (auto & 5sp) has a 8" front diff, Gen 2 3.0 V6 5sp, 3.5 V6 & 2.8 TDI all have the larger 8" diff. The Gen 1 8" front diff is different to the Gen 2 as it is a low pinion design the Gen 2 is a high pinion but they both run the same diff centre. Also V6 Tritons and Challengers run the same 8" front diff as does Gen 3 Paj's.
The new front locker will only fit the 8" diff.
It took months of research with the help of guys from Japan and Greece (yes Greece) to work all this out.
I got an email last week from an ARB engineer saying RD110 will be available Feb 04 onwards. They are prototyping and testing now.
