Hello all

I am looking at buying / making a RC fourby. Should I bother buying one in kit a form and modify it or should i just use the gearboxes of and old Tamiya RC (Chevy Truck 4x4) and make a frame for it.

Thanks for the info

Mick

Can you post any pics of the truck you have? It would be much easier to advise on whether the RC you have is suitable if we could see it's configuration.

I highly recommend that you consider a TXT-1. They are a great crawler out of the box and you can be up and crawling quickly without needing to do extensive mods. This can be a real benefit if you are new to the hobby.

Otherwise, if you want to dive in and have a go at making up your own custom crawler, you can look on ebay etc for second hand clods or bullheads.
