60 Series brakes on a hilux

Just wanting to know will 60 series rotors and calipers fit on the hilux hub ?

Would it be an upgrade to the solid rotors and standard calipers i currently have ?

What Hilux?

Using V6 4Runner (or turbo Surf) calipers is the easiest front upgrade, though you'll need the master cylinder to match.

Its a ln65 with standard brakes

Front:
1. 80 Series master cylinder mounted upside down for the hoses to reach
2. V6 4Runner or 80 Series calipers. Note the 80 Series do have differences so you need to make sure it is the series that has the calipers the same as the V6 4Runner. Caliper rebuild place can help you out there.
3. Pedal linkage needs some mods to mate up
4. Braided and extended lines (flush the system while your in there)
5. New pads

Rear:
1. IFS axle (has larger rotors)
2. Braided and extended lines
3. New pads (rotors if required)

Gives excellent stopping power. First time i braked i almost put myself through the front windscreen Laughing

this is something ive been looking at doing as well
for the fronts im going to 95 surf vented discs and cailpers
and for the back i just put on ln106 drums bolt streight up axels and all ln106 drums are about an inch bigger and help a little bit
havent touched the master cylinder thats next

LuxyBoy, is this for rear disc brake setup ??
If so, which model did you get the bits from ??

Im running the surf 1" master and booster, with hilux rest, and slotted rotors and its fantastic.

I have a set of surf 3.0TD calipers sitting down on the halfcut, but i only just rebuilt the hilux ones, so i havent fitted the bigger calipers yet, i'll rebuild them and install them when these current brake pads wear out Very Happy

I am seriously looking at a full floating rear conversion if the aussie dollar improved, purely for getting 4 wheel disk brakes!
