so... just got my 80 series, i have put some TJM 4" springs under it, now I need to know what else needs replacing.....
can i get away without changing brake lines?
what about castor correctors, will an offset bush get me by? what castor angle?
panhard rod is obvious one, as it is pretty clear the tires stick to one side more that the other.
what have people expirenced with this size lift? |

Pretty much what you said
springs
shocks
caster bushes or plates
panhard bars
brake lines if you really want to worry about full flex |

so brake lines are a maybe....
what about caster bushes, are there ones out there that have that amount of correction, or are plates needed? do you know what angle of correction is required? |

how much do you drive it and how much you want to spend.
you will need plates. you can just buy them to suit 4inch lift.
but bushes will help
i have 4 inch lift in my 80. i dont have either.
but it drives fairly well, its not my daly driver so im not too fussed.
so think about how much you want to spend?
BBM and other places do extended brake lines for 80 series in a kit. easy and quick.
i dont use them in my 80 either, but i do in my comp truck.
just my 2 cents. |
