depends who you speak to. I have an 2002 ecotec and 4l60e 4 speed auto in the MK based Hummer replica and find it to be a great combo, it accellerates the same as any v6 commo ( mine has 35's, smaller tyres will be quicker) and sits on 2100rpm at 110km/h., if you have any Q's, pm me

pretty much only thing you have to worry about is the width of the commo box as if its wider than you mk box then you will have change the front shaft and run a centre bearing type shaft to the front xmember and then a short shaft down to centre.
any help hoppy or other advise would be great cause this is the only way we can think of doing this
thanks mate |

My front shaft misses the Commo pan by a poofteenth (real word). I use the T 100 divorced transfer.

If using a diesel chassis the engine mounts are about 100mm more forward than the L28 mounts, mine was a Petrol chassis, I also cut a "wing" off the sump to make sure it cleared the diff, my mate used a diesel Chassis, he didnt cut the sump

Also, the divorsed transfer from earlier L28's or maybe just from the auto's has a about a one inch spacer on the bash plate, making the transfer lower, this makes the shaft an inch lower than the auto pan, but also makes the input side of the transfer lower, making the short shaft on more of an angle. I put a 10mm spacer on the input side of the transfer, making the shaft more level ( I had a vibration problem, which this fixed).

I believe that the T100 came on all auto L28 MQ/MK Patrols and selected manual Patrols, they are easy to fit as the have thier own bash plate attached, just need to make some chassis mounts like on the 2nd pic up, you can see the original transfer mount in front of it
