Same wheelbase, but discos have no load leveller, so they come with stiffer springs factory. I have noticed the same when both are on stock springs. |

Discoveries have a higher rear COG too. Not helpful with the low rear roll stiffness of the RR suspension geometry. |

I'm pretty sure that the Rangies are lighter than the Discos. |

Well in that case:
Are you talking only 1 of each vehicle???
Are they running the same tyres at the same pressure???
Are the suspension setups the same??? |

Is it a real example or a made up example?
Because it sounds like you are asking something like, "When I imagine a Rangie and a Disco driving up an imaginary hill, the Rangie always gets further. Why would this be?" |

Bah, yer just a bunch of pompus nancy range rover drivers
Give me my skinnier, harder cut price seats any day along with my awkward rear storage area.
Doesn't matter anyway. Most people that don't have a clue about land rovers (ie most people) think its a range rover anyway |

Maybe your mate in the rangie is a better driver.
I was told disco's were actually lighter than the Rangie as they have less glass in them. Wouldn't be by much either way though.
When's the drive off |

Exactly - so many variables...
I have seen cases where a double locked disco got very stuck, yet an unlocked 109" landie ute walked up.
So that MUST mean that an extra 9" of wheelbase is better than having double lockers! |

If you vehicle is fitted with a wheelbase you should get better fuel economy.
I lost my wheelbase once and the fuel economy went up sh!t creek, not to mention my blinkers overheated (partial my fault as I had not topped up on blinker fluid). |

Can this be affected by the layers of Gravity? |

How do I know if my Disco has wheelbase? I think the only option I got was a 710 for the top of the engine. |

Whats needed is an adjustable wheel base. Its all done with an antygravity time spectrum drive system. I have one of these sitting on the bench here at home. If you give me a good bottle of scotch you can have it.. |
