I have a friend with a 91 pajero (270,000 klms) that is intermittantly stalling cold & hot

Idle speed is 750 rpm but intermittanty drops to around 400 rpm ,stays there for a couple of seconds & than stalls when driving & when parked in neutral (auto)

Restarts ok

I haven't looked at it yet & haven't had much to do with mitsubishi's

Any common problems with these

Regards Don

Possible air flow meter problem.

Find a wrecker who stocks them and ask if you can try one out before you buy it to see if it is the problem, very easy to do, one screw and one plug.

The last time I had this issue it was fixed instantly by doing this, from memory it cost about $100.
