Buy one of this dude

http://www.greatescapecamping.com.au/fridges.html

$1500 flat for a 60l delivered to Mexico armsup

I spoke with all the local retards and the best they'd do was 1589 Rolling Eyes

So I said I can get one of the net for 1439, what can you do, well they can throw in a bag, that's $170 value......So if its a $170 bag, take $100 off and I'll buy it Very Happy , sorry can only take $50 off......................................well its a farkin $50 bag then isn't it, Wayne kerr's Mad

Okay okay, I finally worked it out... 1589 - value of bag (170) = 1419 - 50 = 1369... wait... still doesn't make much sense about the $50 bag.

#Rofl

I didn't want a bag, the local shops tried to palm me off a bag saying its value...170 worth, but if i didn't take it would only knock 50 off, so its really only worth 50bucks

Keep in mind that the supposed $170 value of the bag is retail price. It would cost far less then that to produce.

At least the bags are still proudly made in Australia, not like the fridges which are now produced out of Thailand, although Engel still haven't reduced their prices to reflect the cheaper labour costs in Thailand.

Take the add to the local Anaconda - they price match and beat by a FURTHER 10% !!!!!!!

Mate picked up at 60ltr Engel for $1,296 (I already have one).

Cheers

Dan

EDIT: BTW, thanks for the heads up!

i tried that at anaconda on some other engel gear and was told by the manager that anacondia didnt price match and the best they could do was a 10% off and they were already $20 over the RRP

Not sure...... I went and bought a bag for mine about two months ago which had Australian made plastered all over it. While I was in the store, I had a quick look at the fridges and I was having a chat to the sales rep in the store and he said the fridges were now made in Thailand, but the Sawafuji compressors are still made in Japan. Its a bit of a shame really, and their retail prices don't reflect the obvious saving in labour costs from using Thai labour.

I have a mate who has a Thai made one and its a lot noisier than my Australian made one.
