Used to have some chunky Mud tyre in a 13" rim on an old hay bail pickeruper-er. Had something crazy like 12mm tread. But I cant recall the name of the tyre unfortuntaely.
Should be able to fit 185R65/13 through to 195R80/13 and at 16-18 psi should be alright on mud/sand.
In the way of a mud tyre, they are very very scare and rare in the 13" rim. Going with a 14" rim without a lift, you are also very limited to a range of tyres within the 55 to 65 series, otherwise they'll start to scrub.
With a 2" lift and a little tiny bit of delicate work with a big hammer, you can in fact fit 27x8r14 Mud Terrain Khumo's. Is what I have on my 92 Brumby with a 2" lift. Or go with the typical 25" Desert Dueler.
BF Goodrich once upon a time made a 25" Mud Terrain, but stopped producing them years ago.
...I'd be inclined to start looking (at least) at making/buying a 2 or 3" kit.
Well worth it. |
