I just installed a dual battery setup in my hilux. The aux battery is in the tray at the back. My question is,...

1. Do I need to install a circuit breaker/fuse to the battery ?

2. If so, do I need to install one for each battery, and how big should they be ?

3. What about fuses for other 12v appliances? Lights, kettles etc ? ( My engel has a fuse inbuilt, so is that sufficient )

Thx, Turbz.

Hi Turbz, for question 1, have a look at the link below as this has just been covered in this section.

The diagram, which is for a 2 battery set-up with the third battery in a trailer or caravan but should pretty well answer questions 2 and 3.

Cheers.
