Weighed my manual 90 maverick drivetrain as it normally is, all bolted together.
gearbox, transfercase, bellhousing, shift fork and thrust bearing, shifters, handbrake assembly, oil, crossmember.
No driveshafts
185kg |

All i have ever heard previously regarding the weight of GQ gearbox etc is 285kg for the assembly. i think this must have been a typo or chinese whispers cause it is exactly 100kg more than what i weighed. |

i weighed a transfer case I have at 53kg with the handbrake shit on it, so that means the gearbox is about 130.. not too bad really..
edit: must learn to read! 130kg less all the other stuff you listed, so even less! |
