correct me if I'm wrong but aren't the Cherokees unibody i.e. no separate chassis and body, so not possible to do a body lift...

That is true Mk but that doesn't mean you can't do a body lift, you then simply place the blocks between the body and the crossmembers, and use extended shock mounts etc.
[well this is on other 4wds with no chassis, eg subaru's]

I may be wrong but i think jumbo and mark hickey are running 1" body lifts. [ TJ and XJ ] I'm just not sure on the WJ [ i think that's the classification]. Billsta, you done any research on this one ?

Jumbo has a 2" Body lift in his TJ - as do I....
I'm 99.5% certain that Hick does NOT have a body lift & I'm 99.4% certain that there isn't a Body lift available or possible for the XJ.
As I understand the crossmembers on the XJ are part of the unibody.
You can use spacers on top of the front coils, but that's not a body lift.

This is what I though, but when Surfection brought up about the crossmembers it got me wondering.

and theres a cross member in a grand??
no body lifts on mine..

i just accepted the fact that i have no seperate frame on the jeep and thats it. think if i really want a body lift, i have to put the whole thing on a seperate frame. Mr. Green

and im 99.45% sure there is no body lift on Mark Hickey's XJ.

It might be more like a late model subaru, where youre essentially lowering the drivetrain.

Yeah that's what i'm basing most of my knowledge on liam, i've had two subaru's with 2" body lifts on them, and danstoyowagon's last car was an L series with a 3" body lift. Easy peasy Razz

yeah the only current jeep that can have a body lift is the tj, all other uni body. which is a shame really, have to go big mods to get them up for bigger wheels or hack out the guards instead.
