this is how it all started.... Thursday got the car serviced $400 later drive home. On friday drive friends car around doing repairs to it. Friday night go out did about 200km's just around town driving... Saturday morning change the tyres over, clean car out for 4wding, pack car for night trip. Go to do quick check over the car before leaving and noticed the oil to be a weird colour from the dip stick. Sat there scratching the head for a bit thinking this ant good! So opened the Oil tap ontop of the engine and all inside the cap its like white toothpaste after you brushed your teeth (best way to describe it) So i checked the radiator no problems there no oil in it, not drinking any water.
Now what gets me the car got serviced 200km's ago... Do heads go just like that.......??
Is it the head thats gone??
Not too happy about this grrr stupid car.... |

what's your engine??
i thought i blew my head a while ago on my tb45..
after me and the old man stripped the engine down it turned out to be a hole in the timing case to which the water pump sits on!
It must have taken thousands of kays for it the wear thin enough then one day i was up sh1t creek..!
maby something to look/think about?! |

I know of a couple of times where the water cavitating in the waterpump causes the pump housing to corrode out. You only need a tiny pin hole to get the symptoms you are talking about. |

It might even just be condensation and nothing to worry about.
Warm the car up, drive it around and check it again. |

Had the same problem. The head is prone to cracking. Took it to a alloy head specialist and had it tested and they found 3 cracks. They welded the cracks and put harden valve seats in. I paid $1200 which included gaskets and head bolts. |

This is the way to go, welding heads can be not reliable. Every head I have had welded has cracked again I less than a year. |
