Will be picking up a scout (80 or 800, 1968? model i think) in a few weeks. It has a Ford 170 6cyl motor fitted at the moment and looks like it should be easy to get running. Body is in fair condition with no visable rust.
I was going to just make a shooting rig (not registered) out of it but feel that is too good (and differant) to cut up.
Anybody got one of these, or got info on driveline/suspension mods? I was thinking 221/250 Ford motor with 4/5 speed manual (has 3 speed now) or maybe auto so the wife can drive it too, power steering, front disc brakes, small suspension lift and maybe ditching the roof.
Any ideas/info would be appreciated. |

Been sitting on a local (Tamworth) farm for 6-7 years, was used as a farm runabout/shooting rig for ??? years before that. |
