that was sundays ride,
its the warragamba dam.
from windsor to nattai was a slow trip because it was such a large group and everyone was behaving themselves.
from nattai to appin was a bit better as i overtook most of the slower/new riders in the twisties
hit $2.40 at one stage |

the ride up from the gong up mt keira was fun
i let my mate go in front as he was on his own and i was riding 2 up,
he was on a brand new VFR with VTEC and still couldnt pull away from me
got to the top and he couldnt beleive that an "old" bike with 2 people on it could ride so quick
a few other times throughout the day i showed him what a pre VTEC VFR can do |

saturdays ride was fun,
rode from sutherland to robo pie shop to meet up with the canberra riders (and one that was spose to be coming from melboring but got a flat at albury)
then we went down through kangaroo valley to nowra for fuel and onto batemans bay,
then up to braidwood and across to goulburn and back to shitney |

Hmmm don't think so. Expanding it out.....
[((2xz^-2)^3 (x^-2z)) / 2xz^2]^4
=
{ [(2^3)(x^3)(z^-6)] * [(x^-2)(z)] * [(2^-1)(x^-1)(z^-2)] }^4
=
{ (2^3 * 2^-1)(x^3 * x^-2 * x^-1)(z^-6 * z * z^-2) }^4
=
{ (2^2)(z^-7) }^4
=
(2^8)(z^-28)
=
256z^-28
Just checked it for x = 3, z = 9 in Excel and it works. |

Trick is that if you're multiplying two exponents, you add the two together:
(x^10)(x^-3) = x^(10-3) = x^7
If you're finding the exponent of a exponent, you multiply the exponents:
(x^10)^3 = x^(10 * 3) = x^30
And where you are dividing by a term, just inverse the exponents of each term to move them to the numerator and make them easier (more logical) to work with:
1 / (2xz^2) = 1 / [(2^1)(x^1)(z^2)] = (2^-1)(x^-1)(z^-2)
Of course a single add / subtract operation in there somewhere can stuff all that up |

oh ok ... what did i do wrong? i did this
[((2xz^-2)^3 (x^-2z)) / 2xz^2]^4
=(((2xz^-2)^3)^4 ((x^-2z)^4)) / (2xz^2)^4
= ((2xz^-2)^12) (x^-8z^4)) / (16x^4z^8)
= (4096x^12z^-24) * (x^-8z^4)/ 16x^4z^-8
= 4096x^4z^-20/16x^4z^-8
= 256z^-12
= 256/z^12
are you a maths teacher.... because you should be better then my uni lecturer for sure |
