angle of the dangle

Greetings and salutations , i have just fitted up a Rovertym rear suspension package with a 2inch aframe spacer and new off set arms , the arms are 30mm longer than standard , man it made a HUGE differance with the handling and the angle of the rear tailshaft putting it back to a standard position {i should have said , its a 88 RR with 3 inch over springs and 2 inch bod lift , sorry} the rear tires now moved back an inch so as the 33's dont foul on the bottom of the door now , but my springs are a bit off center ? they are retained with the Rovertym retainers top and bottom , but the slight angle of the springs are a bit worrying ! any ideas ?
Iwill say this the package was very well put together and very easy to install , bit of skin off but its all good !!!

Which way do the springs "dangle" ? Towards the front or rear of the truck?

If they go slightly towards the front I prob wouldn't worry about it. If they go slightly towards the rear it would depend on how they were on full droop and how much angle they are on.

Are the lower arms adjustable or fixed?

thanks for the welcome , great site ! well the springs sligtly lean backwards , the arms arnt adjustable you can buy the adjustable ones but they werent avail when i brought mine , i have had the arms on full extention and nothing went drastically wrong , but then again that was just on a ramp so this weekend will tell i suppose !!!

Coils can get quite a lot off offset end to end or a curve .
Its not normally a problem at all.

Thanks guys thats great , i went to a spring center today who told me so many tails of woe and dispair , the asked me where i got my slinky springs from , once i told them the stories just got worse cause nothing beats theirs lol , but speaking to those in the know and use thier 4x4 for more than shopping is more important ! once again thankyou

The wheel will always move in an arc. As the wheel drops it will move forward and the spring will become more vertical.

The opposite occurs under compression.

A spring that starts out at vertical will have considerable angle at full droop (particularly with a modifed setup).

Is the angle of your springs a problem? Don't know. I guess that Rovertym don't think so...
