We are all using electric for our crawlers.
Some guys also have nitro trucks but not for crawling.
Most of us are in NSW, so you QLD guys will have to arrange a get together between you.
BTW, check out the vid of our last comp at www.orp.com.au. |

BJ you need to get yourself a set of 2.2 inch truck rims a set from a wild dagger will fit straight on . The J HAWGS would be the drill
Seriously you may have to rethink your way of thinking when you see some of our trucks flex. Mud Cow's vid's dont even show half of what it can do .I'm not bagging your rig but they are in a different leage. |

BJ,
Seriously there is no way in hell that a blazing star could out crawl the mudcow! Even with 2.2 inch wheels and truck pull tyres! The diffs are just not GEARED for it!
But go and have a look at the lastest vid that Shane has put up on he's site www.orp.com.au called RC monster truck madness (7.3mb).

BJ My juggernaut Aptly named Big Juggs Can flex out and when i say flex out I mean FLEX out. With the rear tyres on the ground the front can twist to vertical thats one wheel about 29 cm off the ground
This doesn't mean everything but it does count. |

Remember it's all in fun.... I think it's good to see someone trying to take a different approach and I'd love to see the burningstar ( ) in action....
BTW I'm currently getting only about 17cm of travel...... IMHO just like a real 4be flex is important - but it's not b.all&endall.....low gearing, maneuerability, difflocks (manditory really) and driver skill in picking the line and controlling the rig aptly are what makes a big difference...
Of yeah clearance, wheelbase & low CoG are also pretty key factors....I'm still trying to get my CoG lower and the new chassis will give me some valuable wheelbase... |

Let me know when you get some 2.2" truck tyres and I have some old Bushdevil Tyres here. But you need 2.2" truck tyres, get a set of Wild Daggar wheels from your local hobby shop. |
