Already started workin on my bro's new toy. Just cleaning up the guard chop, and getting little things like brake lines etc sorted for now. its got spacers on it, and on full lock uptravel at the front the boggers eat the fire wall. Going to do full RUF soon (got 1/2 RUF atm).
Im running TBI zook setup now, with HALTEC ecu. Fitted it the other weekend, but am going to change the fuel pump system round.

Morning kids.
I'm over applying for jobs. I've applied for easily 25 and have heard a "Thanks but no thanks" from like 3 of them. I'm pissed off and over it.
That is an awesome zook layto. Your bro's done well!

It binds all over the place, i moved the springs from the 1/2RUF to full RUF last night, just using the extended shackles it already had, to see how the clearance was. Spaced the shocks back a bit, clears better now, but it touches the headlight bucket too. Flattened that a bit, will cut it this weekend (this was at night so no power tools). The PO did a sill 45, just gotta trim some of that up too. Will get some pics this weekend, both my brother and I leave for work when the sun hasnt come up, and get home after sunset, so pics are pretty few and far between at the moment.
TBI = Throttle body injection (n00b ).

What you didn't search nazi him
Looks the start of a good truck Layton, always a pain sorting somebody else half arsed shiat out
With the 45 sills cut the dodge stuff out completely.
Replace it with RHS or angle with a plate to make it triangle.
If done well enough you shouldn't need sliders
Thats my plan anyway |

Cheers Wayne. The work on the sills isnt too bad, i just need to trim it back a bit at the front guard so the lugs of the boggers dont clip it. The spacers and the size of the tyres are the main issue. I am going to throw my TSL/SX's on it this weekend, see how it goes with a narrower tyre (32.11.5 TSL/SX vs 33x12.5 Bogger). My brother isnt sold on the boggers, so they may be for sale and something else may be in their place. The guard chop is pretty big, and not finished. The PO cut the guards, but hasnt finshed triming and then plating over them. I am going to sort it out this weekend if i have the time.
Thats BUB's old project night crawler. If/when i ever get back onto my zook's body again that is the plan for my sills. Though now i have done a bit of work on it, i probably should acutally wheel it before i pull it apart again.

Layto, good to hear you’re getting keen on it again and working on your own stuff. If anything Twon’s rig should have been a motivator for you.. that is after you have caught up on some sleep and sexy time with the lady of course.
TBI? I meant what type, and no I don’t need to search when I’m posting in off topic, and if you say it again fool injected I’ll fly over and stick my pimply looking Pencil in your ear.. (Without spitting on it!)
Layto I had the same problems with the 33’s as well. I ending it up cutting the tub behind the first box forming the light surround, then flattened the bend in the sheet metal where it binds currently.. Then trimmed, and pushed it up against the back of the light surround and welded. This did require a cut up the inside of the tub where the wire pokes though. I was lazy and never shut that cut.
I’m totally sold on the bogger’s so let me know what he decides to do.. Though I was hoping for something bigger for the ute. If the price is right etc. |

Yep its cut already. The car has no lift at all. I think the boggers rock on it. Dug some great holes on the beach last night.
My injection is the suzuki g16 single point setup, like on swifts, vitara's style. Though running it with a Haltec ECU. I'm being lazy and seeing if i can just run a single HP pump on it, as i coudlnt be bothered or have the $$$ at the moment to fit a lift pump & surge tank to it. Should be okay, just gotta mount the pump low as HP pumps dont like to suck, only blow bwahahahahaha.

Cool i'm looking into doing this as a first mod to the ute as the carb's on the zuk are so crap as soon as you get some lean on. How much was the ECU system worth? I'M sure I'll find the other parts in a wrecking yard. |

I scored the setup except fuel pump off (want33's) from the board, including laptop with Haltec tuning program. I have been meaning to do it for ages but lost interestin wheeling for a while and didnt do much. Its the most simple swap, even more so using the haltec. Its an old fuel only setup, not made anymore - F7 haltec ECU. There are plenty of options, but if you want to do it real cheap just use the factory ECU. I can send you the file with all the wiring diagrams to convert it. Im doing PYRO's soon, using the single point with factory sensors and computer. if you really want an aftermarket computer, there are plenty of options. If you only want to run fuel control, and leave the timing up to the dizzy its is very simple. Most aftermarket computer manufacturers make a fuel only ECU with a ingnition coil trigger that is suitable for a zook. I think microtechs is about $800, but a quick google will confirm. Haltech have a F10x for about 1K. Not sure of the rest off the top of my head. But in reality, just stick with the factory one, as it will work fine and save you having to tune it.
