bout time you started showing that car a real good time, its been begging for it
Goes well off road but it needs a bit more clearance to get over that tuff stuff. Not much experience or knowledge when it comes to coils but being in the jeep forum you just might be in good hands. |

What size tyres do you wanna run?
How extreme to you want it?
etc.....There's quite few mods available for the ZJ - just not quite as many as the TJ
But just depends on your perspective of what "upgraded" is......we COULD get 44"s under there - but its gonna hurt
Next think of lift, lockers, ratios and driveline beef. |

I want to be able to use it as a daily driver aswell as a 4x4er. Basicaly i need new coils (how big?), bullbar, and a winch (do i really need one?)
it's got rancho shocks and limited slip diff, do i need anything else????
It's a ZG btw |

Hey Bowdzz,
I am actually a TJ driver pretending i know about ZJ's. hehe. But there is a guy in SJC with a ZJ with about 3.5-4 inches of lift (Rubicon Express) and running 31 MT/R's. It does really well on some pretty tricky stuff. Rcenetly got dual lockers too so it goes most places. Unfortunatly i think ARB have stopped making the winch bar for the ZJ but not 100% on that. |

ZJ ZG alls the same
SirCamel probably has listed the ideal setup given what you've said now.
Get a small-moderate lift, 30-31" muddies, IMHO consider skipping the bullbar in favour $$ towards lockers.
Also consider skidplating esp for the sills etc.... |

Having played with my ZJ, I can run 3 9.5 Coopers underneath the guards. Have fitted and run 31"X 10.5 but they do rub a little on full lock.
Needed?
40mm coil spacers coupled with 40mm shocker re-locater mounts. NO disconects as this would mean the tyres would rip out the front guard inserts on full articulation.
No re-gear but it struggled on 31's. Took me most places, but I have defered my ZJ ambitions for a CJ10 that I can knock about a bit.
The ZJ is a capable beast - just depends how far U want to go with it. |
