Need to mount axle in a press to remove it from the axle bearing housing. Sometimes a bit of heat on the bearing combined with the press make them come off a bit easier but usually need at least a 20t press. In the end of the housing there is another oil seal. Also you need a 50mm ring spanner to remove the nut.

The outer seal doesn't keep the oil in!
You cant seal bearings off from the diff oil and then expect them to be
oil lubricated.the second seal keeps the dirt out and the GREASE in.
The wheel bearings are greased.
Have you got play in your axle bearings allowing the axle to work on the seal?
Did you lube the axle before instaling it in the seal.
Did you support the axle as you refitted it to the side gear so it didn't hang on the seal.
Did you get the seal in square.

The INNER axle oil seal is a very tight fit in the housing. Ideally you should use a seal driver to put the new one in. There MAY also be excessive wear on the seal running surface on the axle--this can be fixed by driving in the seal not quite as much (so it runs on a different spot on the shaft) or using a speedie sleeve.
But yes if the OUTER is leaking allowing grease past then its a press-the-axle-out-job to access it..
