whilst stopping for a leak today i came across an old banger laying in the bush missing a side cover and handlebars
Not sure on what it is but it is a 70s Yamaha trail bike 250cc
it has a silver and black tank.
got it home and it has no spark but i will have a play around with it tomorrow and post up some pics
it is an old stinker but good for the price Very Happy

When you take the nut off, there will be a large female thread surrounding it, might be a bit packed with shiat tho.

Does it have compression?

Some times it just the points and advanced timing

To set the advanced timing loosen the points so that there movable then rotate the fly wheel, When the points just start to move tighten them there

Setting them this way ensures maximum rev range as I was advised by my motorcycle mechanic

it looks like some1 has been trying to get it off before by hitting it with a hammer Shocked magnets don't look to be broken but wont know till i get it apart
I also have an 85 ts 250x which im doing up at the moment, which i need a 12v voltage reg for if you know of any laying around.
Im hoping to get both bikes done so i can sell them both to buy something a bit newer
