They must have quoted a price on the wrong item; even from toyota they wouldn't cost that much. |

It's not the flasher that costs that much - it's the Toyota emblem on the box. |

Sounds about right
That is what i was quoted from Browns Plains, Springwood and Rocklea
I didn't think it was that much of a complicated thing to cost that much; I'll have to go sus out outobarn when i get a chance.
Thanks Guys |

Pull out the dash?
I can't say I've replaced a Hilux one beforeb ut most vehicles have the flasher can fairly accessible under the dash near the fuses. Might have to pull off a kick panel at most but certainly not the entire dash. |

That would be lovely, toyota spares guy reckons it is right up behind the dash. Find out tomorrow i guess. |

ahh, could be behind the glove box (pretty easy to remove). I think thats where they hide the fan resistor so it might be near there.. I still doubt you'd have to remove the entire dash to get to the flasher though. Have you done it yet? |

If you read the FSM for removing the radio on a Gen 3 hilux, it starts with removing the door sill plastic cover.... They're not the easiest interior to work on the old Gen 3...

Found it on the drivers side near the kick panel that has the other fuses. It isn't directly behind the panel but hanging loose just above it. |
