Went down to eastern creek yesturday for the finals of the opening round at the new western sydney international dragway.
All i can say, IT WAS AWESOME...
Spent all day there in the bloody heat,it reached 38 degrees out in the open, well i should of said everywhere cause there was'nt much shade.
I only got 1 pic while i was there,it's not the best quality cuase i had to take it with my mobile phone,The pic is of the final top fuel rail,Johnny cowen won this race with i'm pretty sure a 4.6sec quarter and 286MPH...
My ears where ringing for hours after taking this pic as i did'nt have ear plugs....

I was there all weekend and it was FARKING brilliant....in the top fuel final cowin ran a 5.22 i think....it definitely wasnt in the 4s ...both teams over tuned to the conditions so there was a lot of wheelspin.....the fastest time i saw was Cowin on saturday with a 4.81 @ 309 mph.......farking mad!! I havent been since since i was 14 years old its been a 9 year wait! |
