mine (GIO) covers me offroad (incl beach), but it may possibly have to be at least a trail. so if i just go cross country and roll it, i could be stuffed... |

I am GIO as well .. the policy basically says that you must be "legally entitled to be there" so if you breaking the law your screwed .. but if your on a track etc and your allowed your covered... |

I'm covered any and everywhere in Australia, so long as what I'm doing is legal...including offroad and on private property. |

For me I believe I am covered as long as I am on a defined track
not cutting the scrub and making my own tracks ... that was with RACQ |

Then why are you wasting your money paying for insurance that you know aint going to pay if you do have an accident?
Seems silly really. |

I'm with SunCorp
I'm covered as long as I'm on a designated track.
As far as mods go, they seemed more worried about my non-standard wheels (15 * 8" Steelies) than they did about the body lift or the upcoming suspension lift. |

You may want to check - up on Suncorp
I changed away from them about two & a bit years ago because they didn't accept my mods -
at the time they were 2" lift 31" BFG Muds and non-stock rims etc.
May have changed if was over 2yrs |
