i dont understand how they(they being major 4x4 retailers) can pass up this sort of cheap and positive publicity.

been seeing a few of the panel shops up here on the sunnycoast that we deal with and one shop PLANET SMASH in kawana. we sent them an email about the day and the owner rang and asked if 2 family passes to australia zoo would be good enough to give away for the kids. we are all in south east qld so travel is not an issue but for them to donate approx $200 without hesitation is awesome. armsup

its not that they don't care , they say its the financial climate and they cannot afford it. As they get 20 or more every week to asking for donations .So don't blame them Laughing But their are some tight arses out there, too Wink

The QLD run is on Sunday at LCMP.

IS only heading up on the Saturday, if so where will they be camping or where is a decent spot so getting to the activites will be easy.

update...

well qld is storming ahead! qld sids office such a breeze to work with. had some artwork approved today (stickers and the poster/flyer/advert), the only thing they had to check was making sure the colour of their logo was still the same'.

just waiting for the certificate of authenticity to come in the mail on friday, then can send out all the letters to proposed sponsors/donars.

here's a look at the sticker...

poster/flyer/advert...

as sponsors come on board their logos will be put onto a section added to the bottom, and as the event gets closer we will update and give more detail on the poster.

If you are coming up before hand, you can camp anywhere in the park (10,000 acres) or in any of the 4 camping areas that have the toilets and showers.

registration and the days activities will be based at the office, so come and sign in as normal.

Regards - Amber

well qld day is done...

thanks for everyone that came. special big thanks to shane for all your help and getting a huge amount of great prizes.

not as many people turned up as what we thought would, but those that did take part all went home with a prize of some sort (some people even got 2 or 3).

another special thanks to kye and mickis from coal bucket who came and played for us during the sausage sizzle and cake celebration. they also threw in some cd's for prizes and 50% of their cd sales on the day they gave back to us to donate to SIDS and kids.

Sids and kids Qld were in attendance and sold a big amount of merchandise. our event will feature in their next newsletter.

too every one that participated, donated and came - thanks again

all the best for the other states...
