My dad has a 2002 diesel Pajero, and he finds the steering way too direct, espceialy compaired to his prievious L/C, is this a common thing with Pajero's?

Yes possibly the difference between a live axle and IFS steering set up.
The new shape Paj does have sharper steering than the previous models as they now use rack and pinion as opposed to the old ball and nut set up.
The rack & pinion is much more direct.
It has been commented on in the Pajero Club by blokes who have traded up from the old to the current model.
Some like it, some don't...................

Thanks for the quick response, dad hates it, but I guess he will have to adjust.
